  I've been living here for over 7 years now. The place has changed management 3 times in the time I've been here. It looks all good from the outside looking in because they've always spent more money making sure it looks good to potential renters than spending money on the things that have needed to be updated and fixed on the inside for years (pipes, structural pieces, appliances etc.). The most recent owner thinks giving us a weekend to clear all of our appliances and things from our kitchen and bathroom counters and sink cabinets so they can come re-do the plumbing is enough time for us to comply. It's becoming an urgent situation because THEY waited too long and now we are having to go through the stress of dropping everything we've had PLANNED this weekend (a couple weeks before Christmas mind you), to comply with their requests. Not only that... but they also ask that we and our pets disappear Monday-Wednesday while the constuction is going on - 8 - 5. I work from my home office and have 2 cats and mu family lives across the country. This request is not OK. I'm furious at the time frame alone. I think it's great that they want to come fix some pipes that we literally just had replaced a couple years ago when they started leaking, but 2 days notice to ask so much of us is just ridiculous. 2 weeks would have been slightly better... but really in a non emergency repair situation a months notice would have been more appropriate. Living here for over 7 years... we have a lot of things on our counters and in our cabinets at this point. It will take some creative thinking to not only clear it all, but also to figure out where ro store it for the week. So upset right now... and they haven't even returned my calls to negotiate a postponement.
