  Built inside a historic church, The Ivy has to be the best atmosphere for a restaurant in Bakersfield with its high ceilings and European-style courtyard. Although the food is on the pricey side, the quality of the skewered meats and complimentary tapas is top notch. The wait staff is very professional and what you would expect of a fine dining establishment. Besides the tasty Mediterranean fare, The Ivy also has many special events like their Friday 10 wines, 10 appetizers for $10 and they often host a featured winery brunch on Sundays. Hopefully the creative management continues with fresh ideas.
